David Petyt leads the​ CMS UK contribution to ECAL Phase-2 upgrade project and is ECAL Endcaps High Voltage on-call expert based at CERN. He is ECAL Resource Manager and Deputy ECAL Trigger Coordinator.

He was formerly the CMS ECAL Project Manager and ECAL Detector Performance Group convenor.
